The standard hire period is for four weeks. However, providing MamaTENS are notified before the end of this period, you can extend the hire by two weeks, at no extra charge
Terms and conditions
MamaTENS reserves the right to levy additional hire charges should a unit not be returned at the agreed time. They also reserve the right to charge for repair or replacement costs should a unit be returned damaged or broken beyond repair. Rental units are for the exclusive use of the hirer.
The MamaTENS Maternity Unit is specifically intended for use during labour not use in the following circumstances:
- During the first 12 weeks of pregnancy
- On the abdomen at any time during pregnancy or labour.
- If you have a heart pacemaker.
- If you have, or have ever had, a heart rhythm problem.
- If you are suffering the acute feverish conditions or infectious diseases.
- When driving or operating unitry.
- If you have, or have had, epilepsy you must obtain the full approval of your doctor prior to using TENS
If you are late in ordering and require the Mama TENS within 72 hours (special delivery), please add £4.50 to the rental cost
MamaTENS Maternity Kit
MamaTENS has been specially designed to work for women in labour. The electrode pads and the MamaTENS control unit are small and unobtrusive, allowing you to move around, as you need to. The MamaTENS stimulation programmes have been pre-set, so that you don't have to fiddle around with the controls. You can take MamaTENS into hospital with you, or use it at home. MamaTENS will help you to relax and prepare for the birth of your baby, taking you right through labour, from the first contractions to delivery. MamaTENS is also useful after the birth, easing after-pains as your uterus contracts, and helping you to manage the discomfort of an episiotomy or tear. When labour begins, your midwife or birth partner can attach the electrodes to your back, as shown in the picture. Plug the electrodes into your control unit and you are ready to begin using Mamatens. Positive effects can be felt immediately.
